Foolproof enjoys a great partnership with SU Scotland through our various drama holidays for children and young people. We run three events over the course of the year – CentreStage, Drama Camp and the Comedy Weekend.
CentreStage 2019 kicks off in April with a four night holiday for younger performers at Scoughall, a campsite on the sunny East Lothian coast. Alongside lots of fun activities, the campers rehearse two plays and perform them to an invited audience at the end of the holiday.
For its tenth year, Drama Camp is returning SU Scotland’s new centre, Gowanbank House, in August for an intense week of rehearsals, workshops and performance. Drama Camp is for S2 and above, with many ex-campers joining the team, so there’s a real family feel to the event. Details of our performance, which we hope will be at Strathaven Town Mill Theatre, will be posted nearer the time, so keep an eye out for that.
True to form, the 2019 Comedy Weekend is happening on 31 Jan-2 Feb 2020! It’s also at Gowanbank and there are spaces available for budding comedians in S1-S6, so if you know someone who might be interested, why not forward them this article?
